Job description
Lasalle Network has partnered with a growing non-profit organization in their search for a Grant Accountant. Serving over 4,000 families each year, this organization focuses on providing early childhood education, health and social services to the communities they serve. They’re looking for a Grant Accountant to join their growing Chicago office.
Aside from the core accounting responsibilities, this Grant Accountant will work cross functionally with other teams in the organization and play a critical role in managing federal & state grants. This role is budgeted up to a $65,000 base salary.
Grant Accountant Responsibilities:
Perform month end close responsibilities including journal entries, variance analysis, account reconciliations and management inquiries
Manage federal & state grant funding to ensure compliance with Federal and State rules and regulations
Implement accounting process improves to streamline & improve accuracy
Prepare complex ad-hoc reporting and analysis as assigned & present findings to higher management
Grant Accountant Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
1-3 years of experience out of a non-profit preferred
Prior grant accounting experience required
