Summary
The position of Head of Sourcing Western Hemisphere exists to ensure that Carhartt possesses the necessary organizational structure, human capital, skillsets, and processes to service the sourced needs of the brand for finished goods. This position is ultimately responsible for the execution of the Western Hemisphere sourcing strategy and for ensuring that this strategy aligns with the other Supply Chain functions to service Carhartt’s diverse business needs. This Head of Sourcing Western Hemisphere is also responsible for ensuring that our internal and external sourcing relationships reflect Carhartt’ s corporate values inclusive of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).

Responsibilities
- Coach, mentor, and develop Western Hemisphere Sourcing associates. Ensure that Carhartt has an adequately staffed, skilled, and scalable Western Hemisphere sourcing organization .
- Responsible for creating and managing an annual operating budget that promotes growth and profitability.
- Design and execute a Western Hemisphere sourcing strategy that supports our corporate values and the product and service needs of all Business Units. The sourcing strategy includes but is not limited to social and regulatory compliance, brand relevant quality, reliability of deliveries, product innovation, service innovation, and competitive product cost.
- Accountable and responsible for ensuring the appropriate levels of production capacity for full package products, and Cut-Make-Trim (CMT) in the Western Hemisphere.
- Define, socialize, and execute sourcing processes.
- Actively manage the Western Hemisphere Sourcing organization with a continuous improvement mindset. Key areas of focus are leveraging buys, reduction of lead-times, and quality improvements.
- Champion a data driven culture by defining effective KPI’s.
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience required in Supply Chain Management or Related Field
Required Skills and Experience
- Ten years Supply Chain management experience required, preferably within the field of Global Sourcing, Procurement, or manufacturing of apparel
- Six years of leadership experience
- Five years of previous experience in developing strategic sourcing vision required

- Microsoft Office and SAP ERP system experience
- Excellent oral, written and analytical skills
- Excellent negotiating skills
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize
- Ability to communicate effectively and influence decision making with vendors/suppliers, subordinates, other associates, and management
- Outstanding organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and attention to detail
