Overview
Position Summary: As an Engineering Physicist, you will play a pivotal role in our radioisotope production efforts by applying your knowledge and skills in plasma and accelerator physics. You will primarily focus on a plasma processing system used in radioisotope production, working closely with our team of scientists and engineers to optimize performance and ensure accurate and efficient radioisotope production. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of medical isotope production, making a significant impact in the field of cancer therapeutics.
Responsibilities What You'll Do: - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and optimize plasma processing systems.
- Perform simulations and modeling to improve product quality, stability, and efficiency.
- Conduct experimental measurements and analysis to characterize beam properties and diagnose operational issues.
- Design, implement, and calibrate diagnostic devices for profile, intensity, and energy measurements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to performance, collaborating with engineers and technicians as needed.
- Collaborate on the design and implementation of new components and systems.
- Contribute to the development and execution of experimental plans to validate and improve performance.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in plasma and accelerator physics and their related technologies.
Qualifications Minimum Requirements: - Master's or Ph.D. in Physics, Engineering Physics, or a related field with a focus on plasma physics, or a related field.
- Strong experimental and practical background in physics and instrumentation.
- Proficiency in EM simulation software and data analysis tools.
- Hands-on experience with experiments, diagnostics, and beam measurement techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Requirements: - Experience with control systems, RF systems, and vacuum systems.
- Familiarity with radiation safety protocols and regulations.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Passion for advancing medical isotope production and contributing to cancer therapeutics
Physical Requirements: - Must be comfortable working as a radiation worker.
- Work to be conducted in both office and laboratory environments.
- Frequent use of a computer with repetitive use of keyboard and mouse.
- Ability to both sit and stand for long periods.
- Up to 10% Travel

Posted Salary Range USD $120,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.
