Duration: 1 year+
Responsibilities:
- Work with business, SMEs, and Technology partners to understand business strategy and vision and then write, refine, accept, and prioritize user stories and/or features to support effective and compliant solutions while balancing investment and business value.
- Elicit requirements and write user stories and test criteria
- Assist with testing coordination, including UAT.
- Own and maintain a prioritized work backlog for one or more Agile teams.
- Product backlog includes complete user stories with acceptance criteria so that they are consumable and testable by the Agile team or program.
- Review and accept output of I/T and/or business development to ensure specified acceptance criteria have been completed.
- Serves as direct representative of the business with one or more delivery teams, representing the customers' perspective throughout the product delivery cycle.
Skills/experience needed:
- 3+ years of Product Owner or Business Analyst (in an agile setting) experience
- Experience with writing strong user stories/epics/acceptance criteria
- Experience with User Acceptance Testing
- Highly proactive, curious, engaged, and committed
- Self-starter, able to work with minimal direction/oversight
- Passion for product, customer centricity, and continuous improvement
- Financial Serivces experience and/or mortgage experience a huge plus
Additional Details:
This role will sit in on the Product team for the Treasury area of the Finance org at Fannie. The Treasury area is responsible for maintaining liquidity requirements set by the FHFA. The applications these teams support are used by internal traders at Fannie Mae. They will be specifically aligned
to Treasury Bridge - a home grown tool used by their traders. They are making several enhancements to this platform so that it can become the single platform for their traders who currently need to use multiple systems.
There are 2 main sides of Treasury Bridge: 1) Pricing services (trade pricing - consists of APIs and analytics - more technical side and 2) Trade Entry (POs work closely with traders, UI/UX, workflow, business processes). Depending on the background of the person, she will decide which side to align most closely to.
Can sit anywhere, but those local to Washington D.C. and willing to go into the Downtown office 1-2 days per week will always get top priority. Could likely turn into contract-to-hire for the right person
