Job description
IOC provides case management and psychiatric services, including medication monitoring, to consumers on Civil Commitment Status.
Position Title: IOC Intern
Position Type: Internship
Hours: M-F Availability from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm; no weekend availability
Location: Toms River, NJ
Department: Bayside
Bachelor's Level Intern
- Provide in-community case management to consumers
- Observe individual sessions
- Observe prescriber appointments
- Community Outreach (school permitting)
- Document notes in system as needed
- Observe and participate in virtual court meetings via zoom
Master's Level Intern
- Provide in-community case management to consumers
- Observe and conduct hospital assessments
- Conduct individual therapy
- Observe prescriber appointments
- Community outreach (school permitting)
- Document notes in system as needed
- Observe and participate in virtual court meetings via zoom
Requirements
- Must be current student in a health and human services field completing internship for college credits
- Must be comfortable working with SPMI at hospital acuity level (chronic)
