We are a life-enhancing, 36-bed home providing dignity, respect and choice for residents needing personal care and long-term comprehensive nursing care. We are looking for a trustworthy, devoted Dietary Aide/Cook.

The Dietary Aide/Cook must be over 18 years of age, have completed high school, posses some experience in large scale dietary operations, be able to perform cooking and cleaning as pertains to meal preparation, be able to cooperate with a supervisor and fellow employees, as well as other department heads, demonstrate a high degree of personal cleanliness and hygiene and have a sincere desire to work in a geriatric community.

• Ability to handle foods according to health guidelines.
• Able to follow oral and written directions.
• Must be comfortable following menus and recipes including therapeutic diets.
• Ability to wash dishes in a proper manner.
• Ensure that the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized daily,
• Collaborates with supervisor ensuring to day-to-day operations.
• Assists with maintaining important records, data, and paperwork.
• Provide amazing resident service daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the facility Executive Director.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• 2 plus years of experience in dietary services
• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Must satisfactorily meet and be in compliance with Eastern Star Home policy standards.
