Hampstead Hospital & Residential Treatment Facility (HHRTF) is an acute inpatient psychiatric hospital and a residential treatment program that treats children, adolescents, and young adults. HHRTF is located in a beautiful setting in southern New Hampshire that provides plenty of outdoor areas to play, walk, and promote well-being. Children deserve to have healthy and happy childhoods so that they can grow into wholesome and happy adults. How you make a difference
The Nurse Manager at Hampstead directs the delivery of nursing care for an assigned unit, ensures that nursing standards are developed and met, and promotes staff education. In addition, this individual directs the development and implementation of unit objectives, standards, performance improvement, and safety management, along with establishes and maintains effective communication with senior management, physicians and staff.
Key Responsibilities
• Demonstrates expertise in psychiatric nursing, providing patient-centered care and ensuring compliance with hospital policies, Joint Commission, and CMS standards.
• Displays leadership skills through effective communication, problem-solving, and team building, while providing supervision and guidance to assigned unit employees.
• Directs and coordinates the development of nursing care on assigned units, aligning with the hospital's mission and maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
• Oversees all aspects of patient care on assigned units, including assessment of changes in patients' conditions and documentation in accordance with Joint Commission and CMS standards.
• Supports budget development and maintenance, conducts performance evaluations, holds regular staff meetings, and actively participates in committees and hospital safety initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
Graduate of an accredited RN program.
BSN preferred.
Experience
Minimum three (3) years of current psychiatric nursing experience.
Progressive leadership experience.
Licenses/Certifications
Licensed in state of employment
Specialty Certification preferred
CPR Certification (within 3 months of hire)
CPI Certification (within 3 months of hire)
Compliance
Corporate Compliance (within 2 months of hire)
