Job Type: Full-Time, 0700-1600, Monday to Friday
Location: Newport News, Virginia
Activity: Industry, heavy machinery, automation. Technical assistance, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
What you develop:
- Support client with the maintenance of APCO designed and manufactured machines including troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of specialized mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems/components.
What you bring:
- 5+ years of facilities/machine maintenance experience
- Associate degree or similar level of experience
- The ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics
- A good understanding of electrical systems to include 480 volt and below including various control voltage
- Knowledge of hydraulic system component diagnostics, repair and failure analysis of valves, stacks, pistons, and rams in excess of 5000 PSI operating pressure
- Strong customer service, interpersonal and excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fast-thinking, pro-active and self-sufficient
- Attention to detail and quality
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean criminal record
