Job Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for leading and contributing to the strategic and financial performance of the platform areas. You will lead the annual planning process to define and communicate global strategy, oversee product development and operational direction for the product/platform areas, and influence multifunctional resources to accomplish business objectives. Key responsibilities will be to enhance current product portfolio’s, through a platform approach, internally or with external technologies/product acquisitions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop annual and multi-generational product roadmaps, strategic plan in conjunction and consultation with cross functional stake holders to create robust new product pipeline that meets or exceeds customer and market expectations. This includes, working with Strategic Marketing on market strategy of existing products into targeted markets, as well as new products and new markets. Work with regional market groups and assist on launch planning, sales tools, public policy, advertising, and trade shows; and identifying new product innovations, optimizing product portfolio, launching new products and line extensions, and managing product lifecycles, forecasting, pricing, etc.
- Develop and execute competitive strategies based on thorough competitive intelligence and market analysis. Drives understanding of Global customer knowledge and needs around the product/platform area.
- Accountable for supporting financial goals and expense budgets.
- Effectively partner and collaborate with regional business leaders, R&D, Medical Affairs, Quality, Business Development & Strategic Planning, and other functions to ensure development and execution of marketing and product strategy.
- Drive business growth through innovation and quality, ensuring compliance with systems. e.g., S&OP, Global Product Development system, Quality/Regulatory, life cycle management Sustaining Engineering (Quality Aggressor) of products. Ensure all internal resources understand that there is a patient at the end of each product to ensure product safety, compliance, and reliability are at the core of the products we develop and deliver.
- Promote and utilize analytical methods to establish/evaluate all marketing programs with Strategic Marketing, including analysis and recommendations of new strategic opportunities. Maintain, interpret, and apply key market data including regional category shares and competitive analysis.
- Identify and maintain strong relationship with key opinion leaders, customers, professional associations, and advisory boards. Establish/build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders as necessary to support business objectives.
- Responsible for routine communication forums and channels to the organization regarding the Devices & Delivery Systems business, progress towards objectives, and global/regional sales and financial performance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Business, marketing, engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in progressive marketing, technology or general management leadership experience in the medical device or healthcare areas, especially in the Home and Hospital drug administration systems through IV route, Self-Injectable solutions like Handheld Auto injectors, Wearable On body and Off body Injectors, Primary Containers PFS, Vials, Cartridges and Digital Connectivity
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Masters degree in Business, engineering or science
- Able to recognize how technology drives business decisions will be a key competency for this opportunity.
- Proven track record in commercialization excellence and leadership.
- Established foundation of leadership credibility based on integrity and a track record of achievement in delivering large and/or multiple projects and influencing business outcomes.
- Solid business acumen and knowledge of medical device market environment. Experience in commercialization of software or business solutions highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to conceive, develop and implement commercial strategies, convert these into tactical marketing plans and deliver results.
- Strong leadership skills with an ability to set a vision, lead change and to mentor others. Cultivates a team where associates speak up when important information or questions must be raised and takes actions when issues must be addressed.
- Creative out of the box thinker who is intellectually curious and thrives on complexity.
- Sound decision-making capabilities and the ability to take decision in absence of consensus when necessary.
- Ability to develop strong relationships with key opinion leaders, customers, and potential or existing business partners.
- Strong leadership presence with ability to utilize organizational channels, experience and influencing skills to persuade others of the course of action, facilitate successful project implementation and effective implementation.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills for a wide variety of audiences, including senior management.
- Proven track record of developing others. Provides situational coaching and feedback. Takes action to assure organizational capabilities are in place to achieve strategy and build succession candidates.

- Support and contribute to Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
- Able to comply with the company’s safety and quality policy at all times
Travel Requirements:
- Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time
