Responsibilities
- As our technical expert you will be responsible for the architecture and commercialization of our products in addition to service launches and operations of our Engineering Team.
- Lead and manage the technical aspects of SaMD product development, ensuring that products meet the highest quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement software development processes and methodologies that enable efficient and effective product development.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, data scientists, and medical professionals, to design and develop innovative software solutions that improve patient outcomes.
- Establishment and execution of a mid- to long-term technical roadmap based on the company’s strategic direction.
- Work closely with Regulatory Affairs to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as FDA guidelines and ISO 13485.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in software engineering and medical technology, and identify opportunities to integrate new technologies and methodologies into our products.
- Manage and mentor a team of software engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure that projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.
Basic Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in software product development combined as an individual contributor and leadership.
- Must be a hands on coder.
- (Ideally) Experience developing SaMD products and knowledge of regulatory requirements for SaMD products (e.g., FDA guidelines, ISO 13485).
- Strong familiarity with our programming background - JavaScript (Vue.js, Three.js,), React, Typescript, Redux, Java (Spring Framework, Hibernate), RDBMS, and No-SQL.
- Expert level knowledge of software development processes and methodologies, including Agile and DevOps.
- Experience with successful launches of complex engineering products.
- Leading projects and teams, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to identify and solve complex technical challenges.
- BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar technical field
