Job description
Interns at Giner, Inc. have a unique opportunity to contribute to a wide range of programs pushing the boundaries of electrochemical systems with applications in renewable energy, spaceflight, and next-generation medical diagnostics. In this role, you would have the opportunity to drive programs from conception through detail design, procurement, fabrication, integration, testing, lab operation, and delivery to customers.
In this role, you will be joining Giners rapidly evolving Aerospace and Defense (A&D) team to help develop the future of proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell and electrolyzer systems. You will be involved in all stages of development, from design and analysis all the way to build, test, and evaluation of cutting-edge research projects, as well as production programs across a variety of disciplines including spacecraft life support, lunar in situ resource utilization (ISRU), high density energy storage, and orbital propulsion.
Giners A&D team is seeking motivated intern applicants with a diverse set of skills. We acknowledge that candidates from historically underrepresented backgrounds often choose not to apply to jobs if they dont meet all of the criteria listed. We encourage you to apply if you are interested in projects at Giner, even if you only meet a subset of the qualifications below. Work at Giner is highly interdisciplinary, and intern roles and responsibilities will be adjusted based on experience, knowledge, and goals of successful candidates.
This posting is for multiple functional roles: Process Engineering and Electrochemistry, Mechanical Engineering, and Systems and Automation Engineering. Giner does not expect any single candidate to be interested in or qualified for all three roles. Please indicate your role preference in your application so we can match you to projects that suit your interests. Internships are open to current undergraduate and graduate students as well as recent (within the previous year) graduates.
