Job description
We are currently seeking a dedicated Locum Tenens Stroke Neurologist to provide coverage in Greenville, NC. The ideal candidate will have experience in stroke neurology or treating stroke patients, although fellowship training is not required. This position will involve providing inpatient consults at a prestigious 974-bed level 1 trauma center.
Greenville is a vibrant city located in the eastern part of North Carolina. It serves as the county seat of Pitt County and is known for its thriving economy, diverse culture, and strong sense of community.
Hospital Information:
·974-bed level 1 trauma center.
·The hospital has a 24-bed Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit (NSICU).
·Annualizing approximately 1200 code strokes a year
Requirements:
·Board Certification in Neurology.
·Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Heart Association (AHA).
·Ability to provide inpatient consults only; no admissions required.
·Availability for 7 consecutive shifts at a time.
·Experience in vascular neurology or treating stroke patients preferred but not required.
