AT A GLANCE

We are looking to hire a Data Scientist to join our Precision Medicare data science team at RVO Health. Precision Medicare is a state of the art and industry leading platform that integrates the consumer health history with insurance benefits and enables seniors to make the best possible selection of Medicare plans based on their existing and future healthcare needs. We are constantly striving to make Precision better by improving recommendation algorithms, adding new features to enhance user experience, and scale our services to a larger consumer base.

Where You'll Be

To prioritize togetherness, culture, and accountability, RVO Health operates on a hybrid in-office work schedule. We expect employees to work from our Minneapolis office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week. You are welcome to work remotely Mondays and Fridays if you wish.

What You'll Do

• Research the state of the art of machine learning, statistical modeling and optimization technologies, and their applications in predicting healthcare utilization and outcomes.
• Create innovative data science solutions by advancing technology and business ideas into proofs of concept.
• Execution and ownership of data science deliverables for Precision Medicare. Collaborate with stakeholders to drive decisions. Ideate on product development often with cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams.
• Act as an effective technical liaison to the business leaders.
• Own end-to-end ML process and resulting solutions. Collaborate with technical and business leaders to ensure the quality of deliverables.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of professional experience in a data science role with an MS or PhD in STEM with a focus in data analysis, statistical modeling, or optimization.
• Our core problems to solve are:
  • Recommender systems - Improve ranking of personalized medicare plan recommendations to our users. Build more features to enhance user experience.
  • Supervised models - experience building supervised models in a production environment. Nice to have deploying, and monitoring experience on cloud platforms like AWS.
  • Statistical analysis - Comprehensive analysis of insurance claims data, electronic health records, insurance plan benefits, and recommender system performance to drive insights for further development.

Pursuant to various state Fair Pay Acts, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company. The following benefits are provided by RVO Health, subject to eligibility requirements.

• Starting Salary: $94,400 - $120,000
