We currently have an opening for a Demand and Freight Analyst in our Energy and Specialty Services (E&SS) business unit at our corporate headquarters in Flowood, Mississippi.

As a Demand and Freight Analyst at Ergon Energy and Specialty Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing the supply chain through accurate demand forecasting and efficient freight management. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of activities related to forecasting accuracy, demand planning, and strategic logistics.

Demand and Freight Analyst Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Proficiency in gathering and analyzing data, interpreting trends, and providing insights for informed business decisions.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and teams to achieve common objectives.
• Demonstrated capacity to think innovatively and deliver solutions to complex challenges.
• Eagerness to learn and improve.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good written, verbal, & interpersonal skills
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Package Skills

Demand and Freight Analyst Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data related to product demand and market dynamics.
• Evaluate and enhance demand planning processes to minimize forecasting errors and improve inventory management efficiency.
• Monitor and analyze historical sales data to identify patterns, seasonality, and other factors influencing demand variability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product lifecycles, promotions, and external factors affecting demand fluctuations.
• Work with team to measure and report forecast accuracy, regularly updating key stakeholders on performance metrics.
• Work with team to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to address forecast errors and enhance forecasting processes.
• Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive freight and logistics data, ensuring real-time visibility into supply chain activities.
• Generate reports and provide insights on demand fluctuations, freight expenses, and performance metrics to support strategic decision-making.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of demand and freight strategies.
• Assist in creating margin and volumetric budget by Region for Annual Budget review.
• Assist with Special Projects as required.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. A clean MVR is required.
