Job description
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide a variety of life skills training to children and youth.
- Provide skills training in individual and group settings.
- Work collaboratively with mental health providers to develop appropriate skills training programs tailored to the needs of a particular client.
- Work collaboratively with treatment team and participate in the family’s team and/or case management meetings.
- Gain certification in the CANS (Child and Adolescent Needs/Strengths) Assessment Tool (ages 0-5 and 6-20) and update CANS as per fidelity standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor or Associate degree in social work, behavioral health or related field, plus two-years’ experience providing direct skills or mentoring to individuals with severe or persistent mental illness, or alcohol and drug dependency
- Candidates with equivalent combination of education and work experience encouraged to apply
- Bilingual/multilingual a plus
- Customer service and detail oriented
- Valid driver’s license
- Must pass a criminal background check
