ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide a variety of life skills training to children and youth.
• Provide skills training in individual and group settings.
• Work collaboratively with mental health providers to develop appropriate skills training programs tailored to the needs of a particular client.
• Work collaboratively with treatment team and participate in the family’s team and/or case management meetings.
• Gain certification in the CANS (Child and Adolescent Needs/Strengths) Assessment Tool (ages 0-5 and 6-20) and update CANS as per fidelity standards.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Bachelor or Associate degree in social work, behavioral health or related field, plus two-years’ experience providing direct skills or mentoring to individuals with severe or persistent mental illness, or alcohol and drug dependency
• Candidates with equivalent combination of education and work experience encouraged to apply
• Bilingual/multilingual a plus
• Customer service and detail oriented
• Valid driver’s license
• Must pass a criminal background check
