The Ad Platforms team is responsible for building and operating the technology that supports Disney’s industry-leading, multi-billion dollar global advertising business. Working across all of Disney’s streaming brands and linear channels, this team’s scope is wide ranging - they impact everything from core infrastructure development that powers Disney’s proprietary ad server, to reimagining viewer-first ad experiences and formats. This team’s award-winning, in-house built technologies are the backbone of Disney’s ad business and a critical element of the Company’s streaming future.
Job Summary
As an Ad Platforms Live DAI (Dynamic Ad Insertion) Operations Manager supporting the Ad Platform technology team at Disney, you are part of a high performing team redefining TV advertising. We are looking for an experienced technical Platform Operations Manager, responsible for day-to-day technical operations for advertising channels at DE&E Tech. We are seeking a candidate who has proven troubleshooting skills, a sense of urgency, experience with critical service operations and the ability to problem-solve in high volume, production environments. The team is fast moving and requires you to translate technology solutions into business impact, while efficiently working with developers, sales, product, and operations.
For this role, you should be well versed in ad technology and live video streaming and comfortable getting into operational mechanics details. You will be accountable for the monitoring, health, and growth of DE&E Tech’s Addressable platform capabilities for Live Dynamic Ad Insertion; as well as maintain a collaborative relationship with peers in the Programmatic, Creative Managment, Self-Service Ad Manager (SMB), Platform data operations and Measurement workflows.
Responsibilities
Perform all aspects of Ad Platforms operations for the Live DAI – Technical Operations Channel
Manage hypercare monitoring during major events including, rapidly escalating and resolving real-time issues, and conducting post-event analysis and authoring reports for distribution to stakeholders
Develop strong partnerships with Sales, Support, Engineering, Product Management and Analytics leaders to drive focus on strategic and tactical channel objectives
Execute communication plans and engage with key stakeholders to report progress and elevate issues
Monitor and contribute to the development of dashboards (DataDog, Conviva, etc.) utilized to ensure channel KPIs (key performance indicators) are met; including ad-hoc/daily operational metrics, and monthly/quarterly channel performance reviews
Analyze and communicate the impact of key strategy, market, or product changes
Maintain partner relationships as necessary to ensure channel success
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in ad technology, operations, or support, preferably with focus in video & advertising technology.
Experience with various monitoring toolsets such as Conviva and DataDog.

Experience shipping multiple products in an agile software development environment
Proven understanding of systems architecture, design, and implementation

The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles, CA and Bristol, CT is $124,000 - $166,200 per year, in New York, NY and Seattle, WA is $$129,900 to $174,100 per year, and in San Francisco, CA is $135,800 to $182,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.Job tags
