Job description
The Video Production Manager is responsible for conceptualizing, planning, filming, and editing professional-quality videos for the various departmental needs of the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe. This position reports directly to the Shrine's Director of Communications. This position will also work in collaboration with the Abbey Group at Saint Michael's Abbey, a Norbertine Monastery in Silverado, California. This position will focus on the production of high-impact videos that promote awareness and a positive perception of the Shrine. Therefore, a passion for telling stories of faith, family, and pilgrimage is essential. This position is full-time, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional work on the weekends. This position is not remote; applicants must be willing to relocate to La Crosse, Wisconsin.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
- Manage the vision of Shrine videos: develop, schedule, produce, edit, and publish videos for 5 websites and several social media platforms.
- Maintain correct and consistent usage of the Shrine's brand and marketing standards
- Attend and contribute to storyboard meetings for future projects
- Attend touchpoint meetings with various departments as needed
- Complete projects on time according to production schedule
- Schedule projects for the Shrine's videographer
- Manage the livestreaming of liturgies and events
• Manage production in the following fields:
• Pre-Production
- - Creative approach to upcoming projects
- - Preparation and maintenance of needed equipment
- - Set design
- - Location scouting and clearance
- - Coordination of crew and talent
• Production
- - Operation of digital cinema cameras
- - Field and studio audio recording
- - Set up and transportation of lighting equipment
• Post-Production
- - Data transfer, backup, and organization
- - Edit multiple video drafts in Adobe Premiere
- - Creation and application of in-video graphics, motion graphics, and lower thirds
- - Update progress in task management software
- - Apply editing revisions from the Communications Director
- - Create transcriptions and captions using transcription software
• Publication
- - Upload and schedule media across multiple platforms and social media channels
- - Write video descriptions
- - Track video performance across multiple platforms
REQUIREMENTS
• Qualifications
- - Must provide a portfolio
- - Strong project management and ability to meet multiple deadlines
- - Exceptional written and verbal communication
• Experience
- - Proficient with digital cinema cameras and lenses
- - Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Audition
- - Experience in Adobe Creative Suite
PREFERRED
• Education
- - Bachelor's degree in communication, journalism, or related field
