Responsibilities:
- Oversees the shipment schedule in advance to verify that proper supplies and equipment are prepared and ready for movement
- Ensures all shipping and receiving is processed according to designed protocols as well as storage of materials
- Oversees daily preparation, inbound and outbound of material for the Field Operations team to provide support to the Field Repair, Field Maintenance and Bench Repair Teams
- Ensures the security of high value items in a caged area of the warehouse
- Oversees physical inventory, replenishment and cycle counting, maintaining an efficient inventory flow with set inventory turns and service level KPIs
- Supervises, coaches and trains warehouse workforce
- Collaborates with Procurement and Logistics teams to establish inventories and maintain adequate levels of materials
- Oversees rotable pool management of critical assets
- Implements quality audits that uncover root cause issues that are not being addressed by the team
- Creates and implements corrective action plans for inventory discrepancies that may include systems, people and/or processes.
- Support the development of standards, metrics, and procedures that maximize inventory accuracy and capacities. Train and manage these expectations
- Implements new materials related processes as well as changes to established processes
- Develops strategies to mitigate impact of volume surges & capacity constraints
- Works cross-functionally to identify and prioritize initiatives to optimize inventory and product capabilities, including recap reports
- Capacity for making quick, intelligent decisions, and initiating appropriate actions
- Assist staff with daily warehouse responsibilities and perform warehouse tasks during periods of high volume or staff shortages (ie PTO, Sick, etc)
- Ensures integrity and compliance with all policies, control, procedures and standards including training and development programs
- Communicates pertinent information regarding back orders and anticipated release dates for materials
- Establishes and maintains effective communication and good working relationships with co-workers
- Utilizes initiative; strives to maintain steady level of productivity; self-motivated
- Organization and management of activities reflect due consideration for the needs of the facility and staff
- Assist Procurement and Logistics Team with contract compliance and negotiating pricing for materials and equipment
- Implement and monitor appropriate staff safety training protocols
- Drives 3PL productivity; process improvements to achieve cost savings, this can also
- include managing the relationship with 3PLs
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Warehouse/Distribution Manager or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control practices
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- 5+ years experience a related area as an individual contributor
- 5+ years supervisory experience
- Previous experience operating a forklift and pallet jacks a plus
- A proven track record of driving efficiencies and cost savings
- Ideal candidate will have had success leading a multi-unit operation through Inventory
- Management challenges, establishing best practices, and developing an air tight control environment
- Balances strategic thinking with execution
- User-experience minded, team player who is willing to take ownership of mistakes and celebrate the success of others
Total Cash Compensation: $72,000
