Carolina Industrial Products is seeking to hire a full-time Power Recovery Center Technician to repair and refurbish industrial forklift batteries and chargers. The starting pay for this position is $17-$20/hour . Being the Deka battery dealer for the Carolina's we always have plenty of used batteries coming back to us from customers who purchase new equipment. As a PRC technician you are responsible for recycling these used batteries and refurbishing them back to like-new condition! The responsibilities include the following:

• Providing battery evaluations and repairs in a high quality and efficient manner
• Quality and efficiency of work is up to CIP standards
• Understanding the process and procedures outlined by the PRC Production manager
• Detailing all aspects of repairs made on an iPad
• Communicating with the PRC Production Manager, the status of batteries in the PRC
• Unloading product upon arrival and staging product on the racks
• Preparing scrap batteries, staging and loading them onto trucks
• Preparing cells, rental batteries, and reconditioned batteries to be shipped for customer needs
• Responsible for shop warehouse inventory and communicating when parts need to be ordered or transferred
• Keeping the shop cleaned and OSHA compliant

QUALIFICATIONS

• Mechanical/electrical aptitude
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical

Electrical and forklift experience is a plus, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate! Do you have strong communication and interpersonal skills? The typical schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm.
