The role:
Join our team as the Oregon Dealer Services unit manager where you will supervise, coordinate and direct the day-to-day operations of the ODS unit and manage DMV’s relationship with Oregon Dealers. You will also coordinate with managers across DMV to initiate and implement projects that integrate and improve operations to ensure we deliver excellent customer service to Oregon residents. A day in the life:
Evaluate, create and monitor business processes and related system functions to provide efficiency, timeliness, accuracy, security and adherence to policies, procedures and laws.
Evaluate the impact of agency policies and procedures on the unit’s production activities and recommend revisions to increase effectiveness.
Determine and develop short-term and long-term goals and objectives for the ODS unit.
Monitor and evaluate the overall production activities of the unit including the issuance of vehicle titles, registration and plates, and responses to vehicle dealer inquiries and mail processing.
Ensure that all dealer transactions comply with the laws, rules, program policies and procedures under which DMV’s units operate.
Identify and analyze service level trends and issues, present post-analysis findings to DMV leadership and develop recommendations with internal and external partners to appropriately address these trends and issues.
Monitor daily workloads and set priorities for the day’s production activities and evaluate available staffing resources to adjust assignments to meet production priorities.
Identify and coordinate development of new procedures, best practices, production guidelines, workload tracking systems and production reports to support production and performance goals.
Serve as the business owner and liaison for DMV’s electronic vehicle registration (EVR) program and its business partners and address business needs and operation improvements.
Recruit, hire and train new employees and communicate expectations regarding standards, outcomes and adherence to procedure.
Work in a typical office environment with in-state travel required.

Four years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience;
OR
One year of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Special qualifications:
