Summary/objective

The Sales Consultant serves as the first point of contact between potential customers and Palmetto Renovations.  The ideal candidate is a charismatic person who enjoys the art of sales.

Salary Range

$20,000 base salary plus 3% commission with a 1% increase each quarter sales goals are met.  There are also other bonuses for meeting sales goals.  Currently, our Salespeople are earning an additional $80K in commissions and bonuses.  The sky's the limit on your earning potential with this position.

Essential Functions

• Consult with existing and potential clients to assess and understand equipment needs and systems requirements.
• Drafts or assists with drafting presentations and other documentation and materials that explain products and services to customers.
• Provides expertise and support to design and fulfillment teams to communicate products, services, and client needs.
• Ensures that customer needs are met, which may include product modifications.
• Propose improved materials or products to customers and explain changes' benefits.
• Provide support to customers and resolve problems with installed equipment.
• Works with the Fulfillment department to ensure product orders and scheduled deliveries are completed on time and to standard.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Competencies

• Excellent verbal, nonverbal, and written communication skills.
• Excellent sales and customer service skills with a proven ability to explain technical products to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to apply engineering, technology, or other related principles to product sales
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Physical demands

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds (11.34Kg) at a time.
• Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate a computer and perform sales activities in an office environment, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Travel required.

  Periodically travel to project sites to take accurate measurements for projects and meet with clients.

Required education and experience.

• High School/GED  
• Interest sales
•   Ability to learn and apply a large amount of information in a short amount of time.

Preferred education and experience

• Degree in Sales/Marketing
• 3+ years of sales experience

Additional eligibility requirements

  Must have or be willing to purchase own laptop computer to use Chief Architect and similar software.
