Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Location: Preakness Healthcare Center, 305 Oldham Rd, Wayne, NJ 07470

Hourly Wage: $45 to $50

Job Type: Per Diem

Position Overview:

Priority Group Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our healthcare team. The LPN will be responsible for providing compassionate care to patients, assisting healthcare providers, and maintaining a professional standard of nursing practice.

Responsibilities:

Patient Care:

Assisting in the delivery of patient care under the direction of registered nurses or physicians.

• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitoring patient vital signs and reporting any changes in condition to the healthcare team.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records.
• Assisting in preparing and updating patient care plans.

Collaboration and Support:

• Collaborating with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care.
• Providing support to patients and their families, addressing questions and concerns.

Procedures and Protocols:

• Adhering to established protocols, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Ensuring a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.

Education and Assistance:

• Educating patients and their families about treatments, medications, and aftercare instructions.
• Assisting in patient rehabilitation activities and daily living tasks if required.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Possession of a valid New Jersey Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is mandatory.
• Compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations including those set by the New Jersey Department of Health, Office of Inspector General, Medicaid/Medicare, Corporate Compliance, PEOSHA, and Priority Group Services Policies and Procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a healthcare setting.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems.
• Additional certifications or specialized training.
