Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accounting Associate in Newark, DE.
Summary:
Wholesale Loan Middle Office is a part of Wholesale Lending Operations that primarily maintain and investigate trade related exceptions, such as open payable and receivable balances. Communicates frequently with front office, documentation, and accounting and control teams as well as external counterparties. The Accounting Associate will monitor general ledger activity regarding payments associated with trade settlement. The candidate will provide detailed commentary to management for aging items. They will also govern receivable items assigned to trading, investigate, and reassign as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounting Associate will work with settlements teams, front office traders and sales coverage, clients, counsel, and operations to investigate settlement exceptions
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients/counterparty/team members
- Identify and escalate issues to the front office trading assistants/traders/salespeople, in-house legal counsel, and management
- Manage heavy trade portfolio across various lines of business while maintaining a clean aging profile; Review LSTA standard documents and other legal documents including trade confirms, assignment agreements, proceeds letters, participation agreements, cash collateral agreements, and multilateral agreements
- As an Accounting Associate, you will review credit agreements, specifically assignability language
- Prepare reporting to track the status of open items and measure risk
- Other tasks as assigned
