Construction Accounting Manager-Commercial Class A

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Construction Accounting Manager with Job Costing expertise to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting for our construction projects, including job costing, financial reporting, and budgeting.Must have Yardi.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain job cost accounting systems and procedures to ensure accurate and timely recording of all costs associated with construction projects
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to monitor project performance and identify areas for improvement
• Manage the billing and collections process for construction projects, including progress billing and change orders
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop and monitor project budgets and forecasts
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements related to construction accounting
• Oversee the accounting team and provide leadership and guidance on accounting issues related to construction projects
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and projects as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• CPA certification preferred
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction accounting, with a focus on job costing
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with ERP systems, such as Sage 300, Procore, or Viewpoint. Must have Yardi.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Experience managing a team of accounting professionals
