Qualifications:

Minimum of 20 year(s) of experience OR BA/BS Degree in Agriculture, natural resources, agronomy or related field of study.

• Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, Power Point

Duties:

Identify needed inventory, monitoring, or surveys needed to update the Badlands Bombing Range Management Plan (areas of expertise required are range, vegetation, T&E species).

• Mentors new employees and technicians.   30%
• Act as a liaison between the DoD and USFS-RMRS.   20%
• Prepare scopes of work for needed inventory, monitoring and surveys.   20%
• Coordinate and inspect partners? work.   15%
• Collect and synthesis reports produced by partners.   10%
• Identify partners to conduct needed inventory, monitoring and surveys.   5%

• Continued IT training to stay proficient with the FS IT security measures and standard operating procedures.
• Travel Requirements: Travel to DoD offices and the Badlands Bombing Range as needed in GOV.
• Health and Safety Considerations: On the job training.
• Required Safety Gear: Safety gear as listed in the DRA.
• Safety Gear Use: When visiting the Badlands Bombing Range.
• Physical requirements: Able to conduct normal fieldwork site visits which requires walking and hiking 1-2 miles with minimal gear. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position
