Position Summary

CVS Health has an exciting opportunity to join our Pharmacy Benefit Management ( PBM ) Finance Enablement team as a Project Manager reporting into the Business Project Management Office ( PMO ). This position will manage a variety of cross-functional strategic and operational initiatives with focus on the Data Delivery and Reporting business areas. Initiatives could include but are not limited to Project Management of multiple high-value projects that include change management for business readiness, reporting and metrics, process improvement initiatives, cross-functional action planning & execution, customer implementations, and executing projects in coordination with IT (Information Technology) project management teams. CVS Health strives to continuously innovate around how we deliver outstanding customer service and improved operational efficiency. The candidate will be an experienced project manager who has managed complex, cross-functional initiatives.

+ Leads efforts with key stakeholders to document scope, objectives, and success criteria, and provides updates as required

+ Develops a project budget in concert with key stakeholders, gains approval(s), manages the budget and changes, as required, across the project lifecycle

+ Creates and updates project plans to support assigned work. Leads working sessions to identify tasks, resources, predecessor / successor relationships and durations as applicable. Leverages PERT to validate logic / flow and indenting to enhance readability of the Gannt chart.

+ Maintains and leads a regular schedule of technical and status update meetings to support a project. Uses agendas, status package, meeting minutes and a RAID (Risks, Actions, Issues and Decisions) log to support effective project execution.

+ Develops plan to resolve escalations raised by project team and / or as noted in the RAID , may review approach with manager before engaging colleagues required to resolve

+ Delivers projects based on Predictive (waterfall), Agile and Hybrid approaches, ability to coach others in these approaches

+ Initiates and manages multiple projects (small, medium, or large) from request and approval, through delivery and validation

+ Manages the project budget, scope, resources, and plan. Engages stakeholders as required if cost, quality and / or delivery are at risk. Develops and implements actions to resolve.

+ Develops subject matter expertise if engaged in multiple project engagements across a common platform. Builds and maintains relationships with stakeholders as a result.

+ Provide feedback from project engagements on what works well and opportunities for improvement. Engages with enablement leadership to discuss, prioritize, and implement improvements around processes, tools, and reporting.

Required Qualifications

+ 5+ years of experience leading project management initiatives

+ 6+ years of work experience in financial and / or service operations

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma

+ Experience in healthcare industry, including health insurance, PBM or pharmacy services

+ Experience in highly regulated industry and compliance environment

+ Experience with complex, inter-connected systems and business processes

+ Experience working in a matrix environment

+ Experience with various Project Management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, XP, etc.)

+ Project Management Professional ( PMP ) Credential

+ Change Management Credential (Prosci, ACMP , etc.)

Education

+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$60,300.00 – $132,600.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
