Job description
The Waterpark Concession Stand Attendant, in the Bait Shack, is responsible for preparing and serving food as well as beverages ordered by guests and patrons of the waterpark. They will have responsibility for opening and closing duties, cash handling, prep work, and providing feedback on specials as well as menu items.
Ideal candidates will be at least 18 years of age, have prior food and beverage experience, prior experience working in a customer service role, ability to work independently with little supervision, and availability to work during the operational hours of the waterpark located inside of the Grand Harbor Resort & Waterpark.
- Provide outstanding and consistent customer service by being knowledgeable, pleasant, and helpful to patrons and guests at all times,
- Preparation of food and beverage items as ordered by guests,
- Practice responsible service of alcohol,
- Proper cash handling, ability to utilize and understand the Point of Sale system accurately,
- Adhere to departmental and company policies as well as procedures,
- Complete daily cleaning tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager,
- Keep food and beverage containers fully stocked,
- Maintain communication between team and leadership,
- Promote and practice safety standards at all times,
- Maintain a clean and well groomed appearance in compliance with departmental standards,
- Regular and reliable attendance,
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Other skills preferred to be successful in this role:
- Attention-to-Detail. Concession workers must be able to follow directions for making food and follow company policies, such as health guidelines.
- Customer Service. Providing excellent customer service is a huge part of the concession attendant role. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively and handle people in high-stress environments.
- Collaboration. Concession attendants need to be able to work well on a team. It takes multiple people working together to handle the crowds many concession stands face.
- Communication Skills. Concession attendants should be effective communicators both to customers and each other while on the clock.
- Multitasking. Just like fast-food workers, they will need to be nimble and able to multitask effectively. Likely, concession workers will be filling multiple orders at once during their shifts.
