Job description
The Physical Therapy Supervisor with Johns Hopkins Regional Physicians Children's Heart Institute is responsible for the supervision of all discipline-specific staff, interviewing and training employees, appraising performance, addressing complaints and resolving problems within their discipline and for ensuring appropriate staffing/scheduling when assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation. Participates in Rehab Department Quality Assurance activities and program development, and provides quality Physical Theraphy Treatments to patients.
Shift:
Full-time, Monday-Friday, No Weekends
Qualificiations:
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program with a baccalaureate, masters or doctorate degree in Physical Therapy and successful passage of the national licensure exam. DPT preferred.
- Current BLS certificaton
- Two (2) years experience as a Physical Therapist
- Recent previous work experience in a primary health care setting
- Previous managerment/supervisory experience preferred
Duties Include But Not Limited to:
- Supervises the activities performed by the Physical Therapy Department staff.
- Performs an approriate assessment on each patient
- Formulates a teaching/treatment plan based on identified learning needs and evaluates effectiveness of learning
- Observes and evaluates treatment effects.
- Meets current documentation standards and policies
- Maintains department and equipment cleaniliess and safety
- Maintains records pertinent to the personnel and operation of department
