Job description
We are seeking skilled Insulators for our piping and HVAC insulation company to work on various projects in the Waterloo, Mason City and Clear Lake areas. Your main responsibilities will include loading/unloading insulation on construction job sites, measuring the insulation to ensure it is cut accurately before installation, and preparing the necessary tools, plans and ladders that our insulators will use. Our main project involves wrapping insulation pads around piping and duct work in commercial and industrial buildings. Work hours typically run from 6am to 4-5pm, but could fluctuate depending on project location and weather conditions. Currently, we operate on a 4-day work week of 10-11 hours each, with the potential for overtime on Fridays.
You will be working mainly in commercial and industrial buildings, often in collaboration with 2-5 other team members. Personal protective gear including Steel Toed Boots are required. Work location may vary between Waterloo, Mason City, Charles City, and Clear Lake, with mileage compensation for travel beyond the Waterloo area. We rarely work on Saturdays. Our current project is coming to a close at the end of August and we will soon start a 2-year project at the new Cedar Falls High School.
