Overview

TRC is seeking an Environmental Field Technician to join our Liverpool, NY Engineering, Construction, and Remediation (ECR) team. The successful candidate will collect samples for environmental analyses and perform routine operation and maintenance activities and periodic trouble shooting on remediation systems. We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, and personable individual with hands on skills, an eye for detail, quality, and a desire to be part of a growing and high performing team.

The position requires full-time field work and the work is based in the Binghamton, NY area and may involve associated travel throughout the year. Some weekend work and occasional extended travel may be required. A valid driver's license and good driving record are required. The successful candidate will also be required to pass certain client safety training programs, and will be enrolled in a medical surveillance program.

The successful candidate needs to work well on teams as well as be self-motivated and organized to work independently; be detail oriented; and have good organizational skills. Must be adaptable to frequently changing assignments. Must be very safety and quality conscious, abide by TRC and client-specific health and safety policies, and be willing to take safety and quality aspects to higher levels. Comfortable with using current and new technologies such as collecting field data on tablets, PCs, or smart phones.

In accordance with local law, the following compensation range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition: $45,000-$65,000. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
