Job Description

The City of Pueblo wants to hire you as an Associate Engineer I! This full-time position offers you a variety of benefits that provide a great work/life balance, a rewarding work environment, and a competitive annual salary of $57,654.60 - $72,472.56! As an Associate Engineer I, you will assist with the design of public infrastructure and facilities in accordance with City of Pueblo standards, maintain City maps and records, and provide support with the development of specifications and infrastructure projects. You will also review and prepare engineering reports, provide customer service to the public, and perform other tasks. MINIMUM

QUALIFICATIONS

:

In addition to the above listed knowledge, skills, and abilities, the position requires:

• An associate degree in civil engineering, civil engineering technology, or other engineering field 

OR

• A minimum of 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours of course work with a grade of 2.5 or higher in the following course(s): engineering, engineering technology, science and technology, material science, computer science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), surveying, computer programming, data analysis, drafting, CAD, mathematics, physics, or business.

AND

• A valid driver’s license at the time of application, and a valid Colorado driver’s license within 30 days of employment
  • License restrictions that may hinder your ability to drive on City business, such as an interlock, will be cause for disqualification 
  • During the course of employment, a valid license must be maintained, and the employee must notify the City immediately upon changes to the status of their license

PREFERED

QUALIFICATIONS

: 

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in civil engineering, civil engineering technology, or other engineering field
