Job Description: Occupational Therapist (OT):
OTs work as part of a team of interventionists (ECEs, OTs, SLPs, Psychologists) working directly with infants at risk for developmental disabilities in-clinic. OTs will work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat occupational performance needs, through evaluation, educational, and service delivery in infants and children (0-3 years of age). OTs will conduct an initial assessment to determine specific communication disorders, speech language disorders, swallowing disorders or feeding disorders. The assessment should be best practices and based on information that is gathered from different sources to fully grasp the child's speech pathology needs and determine the best course of treatment. An assessment report will be written based on the findings during the assessment. An intervention plan will be formalized from the assessment, and the intervention team will be trained on the plan. OTs will provide program implementation oversight, individualized speech therapy, and conduct parent training. OTs will write Speech progress reports summarizing progress.
