Role Overview:

As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will play a pivotal role in steering the financial strategy and resource stewardship of our organization and its affiliates. Your expertise will be crucial in shaping our financial direction, ensuring our accounting systems accurately reflect our fiscal health, and guiding our strategic ventures. You'll be the financial beacon for the board, management teams, and beyond, offering insights and analysis that drive our mission forward.

Key Responsibilities:

Spearhead all aspects of financial management, including accounting, finance, compliance, risk management, and enterprise risk management (ERM), driving operational excellence and efficiency.
Craft and implement financial and accounting strategies aligned with our broader vision and goals, adapting to evolving regulations and economic landscapes.
Oversee liquidity and interest rate risk, managing a robust cash and investment portfolio.
Ensure integrity and accuracy in all financial reporting, internally and externally, adhering to legal, regulatory, and procedural standards.
Serve as the primary advisor on financial performance, spearheading initiatives that bolster our fiscal health and operational impact.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, evaluating and enhancing policies, procedures, and performance metrics to align with our strategic objectives.
Engage actively with executive leadership and the broader team to set and achieve short- and long-term organizational goals.
Champion compliance, ensuring adherence to legal standards, GAAP, and regulatory requirements, maintaining our reputation for professionalism and integrity.
Represent our credit union in the community, enhancing our profile and fostering meaningful relationships.
Provide leadership and mentorship, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

What You'll Bring:

A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or economics, with a Master's degree preferred.
Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or CFA highly regarded.
A deep understanding of financial dynamics, accounting practices, and regulatory environments.
At least 10 years of executive management experience within financial institutions, coupled with 15+ years in operational roles and 10+ years in finance or accounting leadership.
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with a proven ability to lead and inspire teams.
