Medical Assistant Zip Code: Baytown, TX 77521 | Location: East Houston Employment Type: Temporary | Workplace Type: On-site Healthcare Specialty: Occupational Health | Salary: $25 - $30 an hour Team1Medical is teaming up with a well-known chemical plant to seek a Medical Assistant who will aid the staff members of the plant to administer various tests, provide excellent care, and provide guidance for the next steps following specific protocols. Medical Assistant’s Responsibilities Perform pulmonary function tests, respirator fit tests, audiograms, vision screenings, earplug fit tests, breath alcohol screenings, and urine drug screenings. Collect patient history, perform medication reconciliation, and enter information in the electronic medical record. Perform clerical and administrative responsibilities such as filing and/or scanning patient medical records and obtaining reports, notes, and referral information. Medical Assistant’s Qualifications A High School Diploma or GED and a complete certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required. Occupational Health and Medicine experience is required; EMR: Cority experience is highly preferred. NIOSH training is required to perform PFTs. DOT Certification is required. Essential knowledge of computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams is required. Company Culture & Perks This position is located immediately off I-10 East.
