Job description

We are seeking a diligent Service Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our shop. In this role, you will supervise all personnel, oversee the management and maintenance of equipment, and ensure the efficiency of operations. You will also be required to manage inventory, create service orders, interface with customers, and enforce safety regulations.

To be successful as a Service Manager you should have excellent people management skills and a good understanding of business operations. An outstanding Service Manager should be able to ensure the smooth operations and maximum profitability of a shop.

Service Manager Responsibilities:

● Able to manage assigned customers and service orders from intake to payment.

● Handles any escalated customer service, vendor, or employee issues.

● Understands revenue and efficiency goals and reports progress to owners.

● Supervising and training employees to ensure customer satisfaction, quality, & efficiency.

● Creating and managing the staff, maintenance, and work schedules.

● Overseeing work to anticipate, detect, and address factors that impede operations.

● Enforcing safety regulations and protocols.

● Conducting performance reviews with shop staff.

● Implementing strategies to optimize workflow and operational efficiency.

● Ensuring that all equipment, vehicles, and machinery are properly operated and

maintained.

● Monitoring inventory levels and replenishing supplies as needed.

● Performing administrative tasks such as updating and filing service orders, stock

receipts, and staff schedules.

● Other duties as assigned.

Service Manager Requirements:

● Professionalism and a great attitude

● Valid driver's license.

● At least five year's experience as a Service Manager or similar.

● Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.

● A great understanding of work optimization techniques.

● Good knowledge of the applicable safety regulations and procedures.

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

● Strong leadership abilities.

● Good time management and problem-solving skills.

● A willingness to work long hours, if needed.
