Job description

Salary 115,700 - 190,900 USD per year

Requirements:

- - Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in work experience.
- 3 years of programming/development experience.
- 5+ years of programming/development experience preferred.
- Experience with Cloud Engineering.
- Experience with Site Reliability Engineering.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Experience with the Guidewire Cloud SaaS Platform.
- Experience with Gosu Programming and/or Apache Camel (preferred; not required).

Responsibilities:

- - Perform analysis, design, development, and configuration functions with a high degree of accuracy and speed.
- Perform analysis, assessment and resolution for defects and incidents of advanced complexity.
- Work independently to tackle well-scoped and loosely scoped problems.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced employees.
- Focus on the design, solutioning, and buildout of the integrations supporting Guidewire Cloud and Travelers.

We are Travelers, and we are seeking a Software Engineer II to join our organization. Our annual base salary range for this position is $115,700.00 to $190,900.00, and as part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards. The position involves completing advanced end-to-end engineering tasks, consulting with users to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications, and defining technical requirements. This role also includes focus areas such as proof of concept/prototyping, integration design buildout, product management, and liaison with our Development Center of Excellence and DevOps areas.
