Job description

Requirements / Qualifications

Teacher Residents will spend three days/week for the entire academic year in a WCCUSD school, in an experienced mentor teacher's classroom. Throughout the course of the year, Residents will have a gradual release of teaching responsibilities, moving from a collaborative, co-teaching role to the lead teacher role. In the following school year, Residents will be hired as a WCCUSD teacher of record.

* Requirements / Qualifications:

* A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college

* Acceptance or commitment to apply to one of our Teacher Residency Program partner schools (CSUEB - Education Specialists, Dominican University - Multiple Subject, Single Subject

Credentials)

* Commitment to teach in WCCUSD for at least four years

* Valid California Driver's License or reliable transportation to travel to school sites within the district

* Applicants will also be required to answer several short essay responses. A separate form will be emailed to applicants once the Edjoin application is submitted.

* Official transcript for Bachelor's degree

* Resume
