About the College/Unit/Department:The University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education & Hotel is hiring motivated, dependable, and team-orientated individuals for jobs that advance UGA’s mission of Public Service and Outreach. The Georgia Center, located on campus across from Stegeman Coliseum, is the campus hub for the development and administration of non-credit professional and continuing education courses as well as home of the only on-campus hotel.

Additional Schedule Information: General hours are Monday through Friday, 8am – 5pm. Hours worked must be meet
the demands of the program portfolio. Early morning, nights, and weekends will be necessary

Minimum Qualifications:Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications:The Program Specialist oversees, develops, and directs the youth programming portfolio at the Georgia Center. Programs include a robust portfolio of summer camps and quarterly enrichment programs. The Program Specialist will be responsible for all youth programs’ enrollment, budgeting, revenue, expenses and outside funding. This position facilitates programs to meet the highest quality standards and invoke best practices in youth development while maintaining a safe and supportive environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:Coordinate year-round youth programming offered by the Georgia Center for Continuing Education and Hotel. Provide year-round support in conjunction with the youth program coordinator to maintain, manage and support the daily tasks associated with running and managing youth programs. Oversee annual revenue goal budget in excess of $900,000 in support of organizational mission.

Duties/Responsibilities:Research, identify and execute new opportunities for sponsored work, collaborations and sponsorships to support new and existing programs. Build campus and off campus partnerships in support of program offerings.

Duties/Responsibilities:Supervision of Youth Staff and Instructors. Provide leadership and strategic guidance to the youth team. Establish goals and priorities for partnerships and programs to ensure the long-term success of the program portfolio.
