Job description

Under the direction of the Nurse Director, the Clinical Nurse Coordinator is responsible for the direction and coordination of all functions in the unit during his/her shift to include ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care provided.

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator isthe resource for the staff assisting with educational needs as they arise; they are responsible for the overall quality of nursing care while on duty; decisions are made in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team following Standards of Nursing care, Human Resources and Mon Health policies and procedures. The Clinical Nurse Coordinator will support the mission and vision of Mon Health System.

Education Requirements: Incumbent must be a graduate of a school of nursing. Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing preferred.

Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years clinical experience on unit; leadership/management experience preferred. Continued demonstration of clinical and leadership competency. Commitment to understanding staffing matrix/acuity and productivity standards. Commitment to unit goals, patient safety initiatives, and positive patient experience/service excellence.

Must demonstrates good organizational skill, provide and support safe and appropriate patient care; Must utilizes good judgment and superior problem-solving skills with positive and professional communication with internal and external customers.

Certifications/ Licensures Requirements: Must possess licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in WV. Must possess current BLS/ACLS certification. Specialty Certification preferred.

Physical Requirements Requirement:

Light Work: Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 lbs. with a maximum lifting of 25 lbs.
