Job description

Position Overview: As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in analyzing, designing, and implementing improvements to manufacturing processes. This position requires a thorough understanding of engineering principles, a focus on efficiency, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Process Optimization:

   • Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
   • Develop and implement strategies to optimize production efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.

2. Continuous Improvement:

   • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and increase overall operational efficiency.
   • Work closely with production teams to implement changes and monitor their impact.

3. Data Analysis:

   • Collect and analyze data related to process performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
   • Utilize statistical methods to make data-driven decisions.

4. Equipment and Tooling:

   • Collaborate with the engineering team to assess and improve the performance of equipment and tooling.
   • Recommend and implement upgrades or changes to enhance reliability and productivity.

5. Quality Assurance:

   • Work with quality control teams to ensure that process improvements align with quality standards.
   • Develop and implement measures to enhance product quality and consistency.

6. Documentation:

   • Create and maintain detailed documentation of processes, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
   • Ensure that documentation is accessible and up-to-date.

7. Training and Implementation:

   • Train production teams on new processes and procedures.
   • Provide ongoing support and guidance during the implementation of process changes.

8. Collaboration:

   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to achieve common goals.
   • Participate in project teams and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in process engineering
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and process optimization techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with process simulation software is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
