Job description
Position Overview: As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in analyzing, designing, and implementing improvements to manufacturing processes. This position requires a thorough understanding of engineering principles, a focus on efficiency, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Optimization:
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize production efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
Continuous Improvement:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and increase overall operational efficiency.
- Work closely with production teams to implement changes and monitor their impact.
Data Analysis:
- Collect and analyze data related to process performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Utilize statistical methods to make data-driven decisions.
Equipment and Tooling:
- Collaborate with the engineering team to assess and improve the performance of equipment and tooling.
- Recommend and implement upgrades or changes to enhance reliability and productivity.
Quality Assurance:
- Work with quality control teams to ensure that process improvements align with quality standards.
- Develop and implement measures to enhance product quality and consistency.
Documentation:
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of processes, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Ensure that documentation is accessible and up-to-date.
Training and Implementation:
- Train production teams on new processes and procedures.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance during the implementation of process changes.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to achieve common goals.
- Participate in project teams and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in process engineering
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and process optimization techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with process simulation software is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
