Instructional Student Assistant (ISA) for the


College of Science and Mathematics



Position Overview:


The CSM Advising and Resource Center is seeking Instructional Student Assistant (ISA) applicants. ISAs typically are responsible for providing mentoring, grading, and facilitating in the first year CSM 10 and 15 classes.


The department reserves the right to choose the most qualified candidate for each position and to assign Instructional Student Assistant to the courses that are appropriate for the department program and curriculum in any given semester. Due to staff and curriculum changes, courses offered may vary, and no guarantee of employment from semester to semester can be made.


Anticipated Appointment Dates: An appointment for Fall 2024 will begin a week before the Fall 2024 semester, on Monday, August 12th, to encompass the Summer Experience Program. This position is open until filled. If you have applied and no other positions are available, you will be notified.


Fall 2024: August 12, 2024 - December 23, 2024


Spring 2025: January 15, 2025 - May 23, 2025


First Year Program Overview:


Hours: 0-20 hours per week.


Job Duties may include the following, but will be dependent upon the specific course to which the instructional student assistant will be assigned, as well as upon the specific needs of the faculty member in charge of the course:
