Graphic Designer III Location Hybrid remote in Richardson, TX : Job Summary As part of the development communications team, the graphic designer will assist in the design and production of high-quality, creative artwork for printing, presentations, and digital media in support of the strategic goals of the Office of Development and Alumni Relations. Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in commercial art, design, advertising or related field. A minimum of three years as a graphic designer or production assistant in a design firm, advertising agency, printing plant or similar organization or equivalent experience and education. Experience designing graphics for ads, brochures, publications, billboards and invitations. Preferred Education and Experience Minimum of 5 years of experience as a graphic designer or production assistant in a design firm, advertising agency, printing plant, or similar organization. Experience designing graphics for publications, brochures, and invitations. Excellent proofreading skills. Experience with video editing and motion graphics is preferred but not required. Graduates of UT Dallas are encouraged to apply. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Creatively design and prepare layouts for printed and web-based materials. Work independently or with the development communications team, printers, and other University personnel to produce time-sensitive materials. Balance multiple projects with various purposes, from giving collateral and event marketing materials to personalized proposals and stewardship pieces. Contribute to pre-production meetings to discuss creative direction for copy, design, and photography. Illustrate and present conceptual ideas with a rough layout of artistic components. Excellent knowledge and skill in computer graphics and desktop publishing software. Experience in the use of Mac computers. Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop), and Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Skilled at photography. Physical Activities Working Conditions Additional Information Occasionally requires work hours in the evening or on the weekends. Only applications containing portfolios of graphic design and photography, if applicable, will be reviewed. Remote Work Notice: A hybrid remote work environment is available and a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement is required upon employment. Use of personal computers and other standard office equipment may be required. Must be located within the State of Texas (or Must be located within the DFW Area) and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice.
