Position Summary:

We are currently searching for a Community Outreach Specialist/CHW in the HIV Program who will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with community stakeholders and existing patients. They provide HIV outreach and prevention education to community members to raise HIV awareness, reinforce the importance of HIV testing, educate on PrEP for community members at risk, and reinforce continuous linkage to treatment for individuals that are HIV positive. The Community Outreach Specialist/CHW collaborates with community, stakeholders, and partner organizations through street outreach, HIV tabling at health fairs and presentations.

Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule:

Candidates must possess availability to work out of the Bronx and Queens when onsite. Candidates must possess availability to work Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm/9:00am-6:00pm with flexibility to work some evenings and Saturdays/Sundays based on 40 hour work week.  The role requires predominantly onsite duties, however incumbents may work remotely from time to time. 

Starting Compensation: Minimum: $50,000 annually; Maximum: $50,000 annually
