Role - Manufacturing Process Engineer 5
Duration: 12 + Months
Work Location: Fairfax ,KS 66115.
Daily Schedule/Shift: 1st shift: 6:30 am - 4pm
Overtime Estimate: Rotating shift , Need someone that can workday shift 6am to 4pm. Then will work night shift 4pm-2am. , Spend several weeks on day shift to learn the expectations and process. They will eventually graduate and be responsible covering second shift. Expect to work weekends. Moreso Saturdays.
Top 3 Skills:
- Must be able to troubleshoot, maintain and setup automotive robots, welding controls and joining equipment (Fanuc, WTC welders, SCA dispensers)
- Experience with laser welding and laser brazing processes (Precitec Seam tracking, Scansonic ALO3 laser head).
- Fully PC capable (Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Power Bi, Word, Access).
What type of personality performs best within your team, given the overall environment, and workplace dynamic (energetic, heads down, process driven, etc.)?
- We are in a Union environment, so patience is a must. Many of our tasks require us to lead our trades through a breakdown without handling anything ourselves.
- Individual must be able to self start not looking to have to micromanage assignments once a person is up to speed on our processes.
- Attention to detail want someone who will complete the task fully, not just 90% complete.
Job Description: Summary:
- Responsible for all welding. Responsible for laser welding, brazing, projection welding, drawn arc welding and brazing, mechanical joining (self-piercing rivets), sealer/adhesive dispensing processes.
- Will need to be adaptable and being willing to do and learn more than just spot welding for ex.
- Someone that is paying attention to details is critical for those roles and having the ability to communicate that.
- Will not tolerate micromanaging. Expecting people to figure out solutions after the training experience.
- Performs plant floor troubleshooting, training, problem solving, and root cause analysis for welding and joining processes.
- Must be able to work various shifts / rotate shifts, and weekends as required.
