FULL TIME PRODUCTION LAB TECH

This position performs all required laboratory analyses on raw materials, syrups and finished goods, while maintaining the quality and integrity of each product. Typical analyses include testing for brix, carbonation, titratable acidity, taste, odor, appearance, temperature, weight, air and package date coding.
Other duties of this position include:
- Completes quality control checks on treated water, sweetener, CO2, syrups and finished products.
- Requires the daily use of laboratory equipment and computer,
- Performs laboratory equipment calibrations at regular intervals.
- Prepares daily paperwork and completes daily checklists.
- Follows all standard operating procedures for laboratory testing, while performing each procedure in an accurate, consistent and timely manner.
- Use the proper protective equipment at all times.
- Shows willingness and ability to accept a leadership role in the production area, to include cross training on different pieces of machinery.
- Works interdepartmentally to achieve goals and maintain the quality of product.
- Utilizes downtime to clean lab and the overall facility.
- Performs microbiological testing on treated water, syrups and finished goods.
Requirements include:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, have basic math skills.
- Possess analytical and communication skills,
- Requires strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have ability to work unsupervised, as part of a team
- Requires ability to respond to problems quickly and efficiently.
