Position: Operator II - Winder B
Location: Carrollton, TX
Wage: 27.19/hr
Shift: 3rd Shift
**OVERTIME MAY BE REQUIRED**
While reporting to the Shift Supervisor you will work in production for our Rigid Paper Container division and will be responsible for working in a safe manner. Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success. As an Operator II you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in support of production operations and upholding all Product Safety guidelines.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Safely and efficiently operate seamer machine and rotofeeder
- Complete all required quality inspection checks at the specified frequencies.
- Verify each item produced to ensure the correct MM# is run and palletized.
- Operate the forklift as needed.
- Interpret and follow the daily production schedule to enable accurate and efficient production and execution of changeovers.
- Ensure that the assigned work area is clean and set-up with the proper materials for the next scheduled operating shift.
- Responsible for overall housekeeping and appearance of the assigned work area.
- Properly handle, sort and/or segregate and contain defective product. Follow all prescribed reject procedures. Responsible for immediately communicating defective production to pertinent operators and supervision.
- Train co-workers and new hires as needed or directed.
- Perform rework of defective cans as assigned.
- Perform required preventive maintenance on equipment as assigned.
- Empty trash bins and recycle bins throughout the shift and before the end of the shift.
- Relieve other operators for break as assigned.
- Prepare pallet tags for each pallet of cans produced as required.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
- Be familiar with and obey all safety rules.
- Responsible to correct and/or report all unsafe conditions immediately.
This position is located in Carrollton, TX.
