Job description
Position Overview: As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and execution of electrical projects. This role requires a detail-oriented and collaborative professional with a solid understanding of electrical engineering principles and the ability to manage projects efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, and timelines, ensuring alignment with client requirements and project goals.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and contractors, to ensure successful project execution.
Design and Engineering:
- Lead the design and engineering of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with design teams to create detailed electrical schematics and drawings.
Budget Management:
- Manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to optimize project expenditures.
Client Interaction:
- Interface with clients to understand their electrical engineering requirements and expectations.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, address client concerns, and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement and enforce rigorous quality control processes to maintain the highest standards in electrical engineering project deliverables.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all electrical engineering activities comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals for project implementation.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Create and maintain detailed project documentation, including design specifications, technical drawings, and project reports.
- Prepare regular progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (5+ years) as an Electrical Project Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, standards, and practices.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools and technologies.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
