Job description

Job Title: GCP Application Migration Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled GCP Application Migration Architect with extensive experience in application migration and a deep

understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services including GKE Anthos App Engine Cloud

SQL and Cloud Storage.

Job Description:

As a GCP Application Migration Architect at Genpact you will play a pivotal role in architecting and

executing application migration strategies to leverage the full suite of GCP services. The ideal

candidate should have a strong technical background handson experience with GCP and a proven

track record of successful migration projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Migration Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive migration strategies for

applications leveraging GCP services such as GKE Anthos App Engine Cloud SQL and Cloud

Storage.

Architectural Design: Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to design scalable resilient

and costeffective architectures for applications migrating to GCP.

GCP Services Utilization: Utilize GCP services effectively including GKE for container

orchestration Anthos for hybrid and multicloud deployments App Engine for serverless

applications and Cloud SQL and Cloud Storage for data storage and management.

Migration Planning: Create detailed migration plans including timelines resource

requirements and dependencies ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing business

operations.

Execution and Monitoring: Oversee the execution of migration plans providing guidance to

technical teams and ensuring the successful and timely completion of migrations. Implement

monitoring mechanisms for tracking migration progress.

Troubleshooting: Address technical challenges and troubleshoot issues during the migration

process collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to find effective solutions.

Security and Compliance: Implement and ensure adherence to security best practices and

compliance requirements during the migration process.

Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for migration

processes architectural decisions and postmigration configurations.

Knowledge Transfer: Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal teams to ensure

ongoing support and optimization of migrated applications.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.

1014 years of professional experience with a focus on application migration cloud

architecture and GCP services.

Proven experience leading endtoend application migration projects on GCP with specific

expertise in GKE Anthos App Engine Cloud SQL and Cloud Storage.

Strong understanding of cloudnative principles microservices architecture and

containerization.

Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.

. Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g. Python Java).

Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross

functional teams and stakeholders.
