TerraSource Global has long history of offering a wide range of equipment and services, including crushers, feeders & conveyors. The company has a global presence, with operations in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. Its products are used in a variety of industries, including mining, power generation, cement, pulp and paper. The main product offerings or the Pennsylvania, Jeffrey Rader and Gundlach Crushers. The business is headquartered in St. Louis Missouri with its primary manufacturing facility in Belleville IL. The business is further supported by a worldwide manufacturing supply chain base.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Plant Manager is a key member of the TerraSource leadership team with accountability for directing all plant activities related to machining, welding, assembly, shipping and receiving, and facility maintenance. The Plant manager has direct responsibility for the Safety, Quality & On-time deliveries of the Belleville facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Plan, organize and lead daily operation activities in a manner which will consistently satisfy the needs of our customers, stakeholders, community and employees.
- Develop, optimize and implement the operations plans & processes that align with TSG Global business strategies to achieve short- and long-term targets.
- Delivers expected results in five key areas: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Morale of our employees (SQDCM).
- Create an environment of continuous improvement, including cost effective procedures, systems, tooling, and equipment to continually improve manufacturing productivity.
- Drive leadership in the application of Lean Principles and Methods and the ability to identify and complete RCCA plans.
- Build overall site talent to include development plan, coaching, mentoring and succession planning.
- Participates with forecasting and budgeting process for the plant.
- Makes recommendations for capital improvements.
- Provides coaching/mentoring to direct reports for improved performance. Works closely with Human Resources to manage employees within policies and procedures. Rewards and recognizes good behavior and top performers.
- Good Communicator between departments, less about blame more about teamwork.
YOU HAVE:
- A degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or related business field is preferred
- 5+ years of manufacturing operations management, 3+ years demonstrated ability as a site manager and leading an organization.
- Advanced knowledge of Lean Methodologies and concepts required.
- Proven Track record of previous process improvement initiatives with tangible results.
- Ability to be accept, nurture and grow the TSG culture.
- Ability to present and influence views in a clear and compelling manner at both technical and leadership levels.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills along with strong written and verbal communication skills
- A bility to make decisions that are balanced and inclusive of the team's input. (its about the team!)
