The successful Account Manager (Consultancy) will be responsible for...
- Managing the development of new and existing accounts.
- Leading bid proposal teams and managing client onboarding processes, interpreting detailed tender documents, and negotiating commercial contracts to convert proposals.
- Overseeing project workstream delivery with control over resourcing, activity deadlines and budgets
- Monitoring planned vs actual progress and deliverables, proactive identification of potential constraints and opportunities, managing stakeholders' expectations, change management and actioning of lessons learned.
- Managing delivery close-out ensure client satisfaction and find new ways to improve business.
- Working with Finance to optimise the total contract value, revenue realisation and 'added value' outcomes.
- Contribution to, and delivery of, reports and presentations to different levels in the client organisation.
- Develop and deliver simple, meaningful dashboards for project and programme reporting.
- Contribute to the development of improved methods, tools and training for the business and its range of services.
- Play an active role in continuously improving the account and project management processes.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Account Manager (Consultancy) will need...
- Demonstrable Account Management or other relevant experience to include -
- managing fluctuating numbers of accounts and/or projects ranging in size and delivery.
- dealing and influencing at senior level in large and complex organisations.
- Commercial and financial knowledge, skills and experience
- Excellent IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Office suite) and attention to detail
- Good analytical skills with the ability to handle complex, changing requirements with self-managing confidence.
- Show active end to end involvement across multiple tasks with the ability to handle the detail while retaining clear sight of the bigger picture.
- Strong desire to provide 'best in class' service and ability to tailor information for different audience types and cultures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (fluent in English)
- The ability to work collaboratively and flexibly.
- The motivation to acquire subject knowledge; a technical or engineering background may be advantageous.
